PROJECTO RAÍZ
Filipa Alfama
“Projecto Raíz” draws on the recurrent disciplinary crossover present in Filipa Alfama’s artistic career. To materialize this project, the artist uses photography, performance, video, drawing and projected shadows as means of expression, thus imprinting its hybrid character also with the aim of reflecting on the human condition.
Filipa Alfama seeks, through the body, to explore issues related to human identity and communication. For this, she expresses herself through photography, video and performance. Born in Lisbon, she graduated in Art and Multimedia from the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon and attended the Photography course at Ar.Co. In 2020, she won an artistic creation grant awarded by Zona Lamego, under the ZIGUR Fest, which resulted in the urban installation Pedra por Pedra (2020). She is currently a Master’s student in Communication Sciences, Communication and Arts, at Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
